A DREAM WILL REMAIN JUST A DREAM IF YOU DON’T TURN IT INTO A GOAL
Become responsible for yourself and create the life you have always wanted to live.
From the moment we are born, society leads us to think that it is important to live in the present in the best way, so basically to do well at school and then to find a good job.
What does it mean to have a good job?
It usually depends on where we position ourselves in the market, certainly the environment we grow up in plays a key role.
Does earning $50,000 a year mean you have a good job? And if for that I have to work 100 hours a week and take considerable risks, is it still a good job?. Is work-life balance important, money or free time?
If we only do well at school we will probably get a good job but we risk losing contact with our emotions.
What is the purpose of a good job if we are unhappy and stuck in a strict routine that we have chosen for ourselves “Because it has to be done!”?
Often those who have nothing to lose are more inclined than others to risk everything they have, while those who have even little begin to look at the glass as half-empty, thinking that they might lose what they have, and in the end, remain where they are.
Why do many people remain stuck in a situation even though they are unhappy?
Mainly for two reasons: They do not want to risk losing the few certainties they have, or because they do not have the skills to make the big leap.
It is not easy to explain to a person who has based his whole life on school performance that it is not always enough to achieve the real goal in life: happiness.
“When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
— J. Lennon
Even sometimes to escape from reality many people alienate themselves from reality and daydream.
Have you ever dreamed of being rich, happy, in a paradise on earth?
I guess so because according to Harvard research we spend 47% of our waking time wandering with our minds.
I want to tell you something: It is impossible to escape the problem forever!
If you are not well, you have to find your way out of it.
Whatever the cost!
Do you want to get to 80 years old dreaming of going to the Maldives while shopping with your calculator?
The difference between a dream and a goal is just that, curiosity.
Just start asking the right questions:
- Am I sure that person is better than me or has been luckier in life?
- Maybe he has created his luck, how did he do it?
- How big is his fortune?
- What skills does he/she have?
Now everything seems more concrete and therefore achievable.
A goal is a realistic goal if I believe that I have the means to achieve it or that I can acquire it in some way.
Then you have to map out a path, divide the big dream into a thousand parts, divide it into small goals to be achieved over 3/5 years and work hard to make that dream a reality.
Compete with yourself.
Many have taken the first step in your situation.
Live the life you dream of living.
You owe it to yourself.
IT IS POSSIBLE. DO IT E DON’T GIVE UP!
